Ok why not? Favorite guitarists?
Well we have a favorite singer and now drummer thread. How could we not have a best guitarist thread? My faves are in no particular order:
Steve Vai
Jason Becker
Paul Gilbert
Satch
John Petrucci
Jeff Loomis
Marty Friedman
Alexi Laiho
Shawn Lane
Muhammed Scuimez
Karl Sanders
Chris Broderick
Nuno Bettencourt
Warren DiMartini
SRV
EVH
Dime

1997 Grand Cherokee- 1999 Firebird.
Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Stevie, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nugent, Clapton...this list could get huge. Anyone hear of a guy named Andy McKee? Maybe not the best of all time but the guy has skills. Check him out:

Uhmm, I just saw Robin Trower last Wednesday night, awesome as usual. 63 years old and still plays all the rude sour notes, feedback, wah wah pedal and loud. I agree with most on your list, glad you came to your senses and put on SRV!
