I hear guys describe cars as sexy.

Can anyone explain what makes a sexy car? I mean I'm into cars, and I think certain cars are good looking.

But I've never wanted to have sex with one or got a boner over one either.

I mean does sexy just mean cool or good looking or something or does that car actually give you the "tingle" in the nuts.

I guess I would never use the word sexy to describe a car and I don't see anything sexy about them.

I just had a guy tell me his 465 was sexier than my gallardo. WTF I don't get it. Is it because the 465 is curvier or what.

Not only did I not "get it" but I wondered if the guy was a fag.

I'd understand it if he said his car was faster for something, but putting down my car cause his was "sexier". WTF.

I don't even have a comeback for that. (I'm sure mines faster though)

OK I was a little bored myself and with nothing to do on a saturday night I decided to do some research and here is what I found:

I had a car pull up next to me at a light a month or two ago when I was driving the gto. They honked so I rolled down my window and a guy leans out and says " That's a damn sexy car." I said thanks but not sure how to react to a guy saying that. I knew what he meant, I just wanted to point out how stupid it was to say that to another guy driving a car at a traffic light. I really don't get the saying myself. I would never use it. I know what people mean, I just don't get it.

I get it. My opinion of a sexy car is one with smooth sleek body lines with minimal sharp edges. Something that just seems to give you the urge to drive it. I think ozzy Monaro or a wingless GTO fits this description.

Having said that, I've always thought of the old Vette Stingrays as sexy, probably because we don't see many here, likewise AC Cobras (dare I say).

As for wanting to actually having sex with the car, not with my tail pipes, be like throwing a sausage down a hallway...

I think that a well maintained, good looking performance car with mods = sex on wheels. No, i don't get hard. No. i'm not turned on. But it's like if I could have my choice of which car to take home that night, it would be that "sexy one."

So yeah, it has to do with how appealing the car is, overall.

Some examples:
Steam trains, hadnguns=sexy
cars, internal combustion engines=can be sexy
Vespa motor scooters, computers=never sexy
