Off duty cop freaked out on me!
Worth reading:
So I left my girls house last night and I am cruising down 2nd street in harrisburg. There are a lot of lights down the strip and the speed limit is 25mph. It's about 10:30pm and there is hardly anyone on the road.
A newer volvo sedan pulls up next to me and it's a younger guy with his girl. I payed no attention i wasn't really trying to race him cuz it's a volvo. So were going and at each light he keeps taking off really fast. So I start to play and make some noise just to show him what the Z is made of. This whole time there is a trailblazer behind us. We are the only 3 vehicles on the road at the moment. The second to last light in the series the volvo jumps on it, so this time i really race hard till i shift to 3rd then let off and by this time you all know im like 6 cars ahead.
So I glance in my mirror and the trailblazer and the volvo look like they are dead even. Then the volvo flashes his high beams like crazy and pulls a crazy right turn like his car is on fire. I'm like what the hell?
I'm sitting at the last light and the trailblazer stops before he gets to my driver side quarter panel. He gets out and it's a cop with his gun drawn! I'm like holy shit, i wasn't sure it was a cop right away, i just saw the gun when he walked infront of his headlights. He's yellin' shut the vehicle off! Shut it off! When I look back I see it's a cop and he's putting his gun away. I shut the car down. So he comes up to my window and he is fucking pissed, I mean i have never seen anyone so mad before. He just stares at me and he has his hands up like he just want to grab my neck and choke me or just knock me out. He doesn't say anything for a few seconds and i think it was because he was so mad. He kept opening his mouth like he was going to say something and didn't. By now i said "sorry sir" like 3 or 4 times. Then he finally says in a "super pissed whisper" "I am so angry I can't even deal with you right now." I said "sorry sir" and was getting ready to say he was messin with me first, but decided i better just shut up.
He still has his hands up and is still like stuttering cuz he's so pissed and whispers again-"My son will not get killed by being shot in the projects, and my son will not get killed by" (something else i can't remember.)
Then he yells "but he might get killed by you!" Then i said "sorry sir" again.
Then he just walks away gets in his TB and drives away. He was probably pissed off mostly because he couldn't bust me. But he did have a very valid point and I thought about this a lot last night. And seriously I am going to change the way I drive depending on where I am.

wow...gun drawn while off duty...someone step in here with police code of ethics and tell me if that guy should be detained.
He might have a valid point...but gun drawn? How about roll your window down, shine your badge and yell "slow the fuck down"

I was out on second street the other night. I would have been pissed and reported him if he did that to me. Its one thing to pull me over and give me a ticket. I will respect a Cop doing his or her job, but to get and attitude and get pissed off. That will not fly. I respect cops fully as I have a few of them in my family but when I do something wrong while driving and they pull me over I expect them to not take it personally. It is a job and they need to abide by the rules too. I have been arested by the beach patrol out in cali and the one cop was a dick. I made a mention of this to my Grand mother who is a retired CHP and she talked with the judge and found out that this rookie cop took things to personally. He threw the case out of court and I never had to pay a fine or anything. ( oh and dont ride Jet ski's to close to the beach or the will arrest you and fine you big money, the rental place did not inform me of this)

Yes i feel he took it way too personally, but he was a head case seriously. I think as he was confronting me he was also realizing that he could get in a lot of trouble. Even though he was out of line i still didn't talk shit or disrespect him. I'm pretty sure he was an HBG cop but couldn't tell for sure.

is anyone else curious why the volvo flipped like that? Can you imagine his story??? "SOME CRAZY GUY IN A T/B PULLED A GUN ON ME" what if he wrecked making that crazy of a move-if a gun were drawn on me while in a moving vehicle, you'd be sure as shit that I'll be moving someone out of my way if i had to

I didn't see his name. I don't know if he pulled the gun on the Volvo, he very well could have. I kind of wish i got a chance to talk to the dude in the volvo. He didn't ever point the gun directly at me. He had it right when he got out and was walking infront of his truck, i saw this in the mirror. When i turned around to look he was putting it away.
