Not a Muslim

This big girl definetly isnt muslim because I caught her on a strip of raw bacon. Yeah, I know this is a car sight but I want to show off this fish. I used up $30 worth of bait catching small fish and gars and decided to try some bacon because it was all I had left besides poptarts!

i went fishing the last 2 weekends and caught nothing but small fish.

nice cat. What... about 10lbs? Hard to judge in the pic. I go flathead fishing several times a year on the Ohio River. We use live bait, chubs and bluegill usually. We have good nights and bad nights. The smallest we catch run about 5lbs with a few 20lb+ fish thrown in there every now and then. Typical fish will be 7-10lbs.

you get that on a trot line or on a reel? looks closer to 20 pounds to me based on the ones that my brother and i caught down in SC where he lives at. mmmmmm...batter dipped deep fried channel cat...tasty

Its not a channel its a blue and it appears to be about 12 lbs. You should try some cheap off brand hot dog or sasuage for bait next time.

21# Blue. Full of eggs. Caught on a jugline. I love to jugline, I run them every hour. In the past three yrs. I have lost one jug. I have it down to an art, and I always let the fish go if they arent injured. Sometimes I let 100# of fish go and then go eat seafood on the way home from the lake. Not to smart but a lot of fun.

i caught a huge softshell turtle on trotline once. it was at least a foot or a foot and a half in diameter.

Oh yeah, deep fried catfish is great. I also have another kickass recipe for em but I made fun of guys posting recipes on a car site so if you want em have the ol lady call me, shes got the number.
