Not Bad, GM
Long story short, my flight was delayed so I couldn't get the car I originally reserved for rental.
Choices were Corolla, Elantra, or new Chevy Cruz so I took the Cruz.
Right off the bat, no milk jug plastic in the interior. +1
Nice, comfy seats with lots of adjustment. +1
Decently quiet on the highway. +1
Quite roomy interior/trunk. +1
So quite a few pluses and only minor drawbacks.
Only drawbacks are a jumpy transmission (only has 1800 miles) and it doesn't seem to be getting very good fuel economy, though I won't be able to tell for sure until I fill it back up.
Not bad GM. A FAR cry from the Cobalt and definitely a dramatic improvement.

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
I like the Cruze. I would like to see a modded one with a bigger turbo. I watched, I think, the European Touring Car Championship race with right-hand drive Cruzes(built by Holden, like the GTO/G8) and they were taking down BMW 3-series racecars.

That was funny shit. Even when the BMW hit the wall and the front wheel fell off.

Most new GM vehicles I've bought get far below the advertised gas milaege for the first 4000 miles or so.

That car probably isnt getting the mileage that YOU would get just yet because the trans has to learn your driving style. The engine also isnt completely broken in yet. If I'm not mistaken, isnt this car korean designed and built?

they are okay but already have lots of recalls. my favorite one is that from the factory they only installed the intermediate shaft pinch bolt a few threads so it is backing out and you lose steering

18000 2010 and '11 Wranglers left the plant with about 75% of the entire suspension loose. Don't miss that recall any

It amazes me that stuff like that actually happens. Do they not have entire "crews" whose sole responsibility is to bolt the suspension up? how the fuck does that much of the truck not get tightened? What did they just finger tighten the bolts and then go out for a beer? A lot of good its doing chrysler, I just saw the latest initial quality report and they are DEAD fucking LAST
