Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 T/A Firehawk M6
Not bad for a dead brand
So first we had TSS teasing us about the Kevin Morgan concept TransAm. Now this.
Ligenfelter has decided they too miss the TA entirely too much and need to make one of their own. Theirs has styling based on the 70-71's with the shaker hood. Complete with white and blue paint scheme and honeycomb wheels. The nice surprise here is under the hood, since what would an LPE vehicle be without the zoom! Under there you will find an LS block bored and stroked out to 455 with ported polished LS7 heads putting out 655hp.
I wish the economy were in a place where GM could say... gee there is a LOT of interest in a new TransAm and they do something unique. Such as selling TA's right alongside Camaros at chevy dealers. It could be the top option package for the line and could be branded the Pontiac Firebird TransAm by Chevy. I wouldn't suggest they hang on to the full brand but doing this might get more feet on the dealership floors. It will retain brand recognition for Pontiac and allow GM to one day spin off Pontiac as a full fledged brand once again if the timing and market need ever determine it's a good idea.
Think for just a moment about Corvette. A lot of people barely associate the Corvette with chevy. To a lot of people Corvette has a life and brand all it's own and in recognizance of such GM has previously considered making Corvette into a separate brand. Retaining Pontiac as simply a high level badge and power model of the Camaro can have the same symbiotic relationship with Chevy. I'm sure there are people in GM that feel much the same way, it's just too sad their voices will never be heard.

seems to me that there are a lot of companies out there (2 or 3 now and all things considered for the market that's a lot) that are focusing on the 2nd gen trans am. problem is is that their products are all going to look virtually identicle. they'll really have to do a lot with performance, build numbers, and price to remain competative.

Pewter- 2001 Camaro Z28 M6
another new 5th gen idea of slapping crap on a camaro ricer style....
Pontiac TAs are dead.. people need to leave it that way.
I still have yet to see one design that has good body lines.

NOO that woud be the dumbest thig gm would ever do ever. corvettes have always been chevy regardless pontiac and trans am are completely different it would be just, fail in every way, ss and z28 are good enough performance trim for the maro, no need to inbreed and get crosseyed fugly ass kids.

Well, looking at the wheels from a side angle, there not that bad... But I do agree, a first gen mod would be sick.
