No job :(

This sucks i have been out of a job since Sept. 28. I have had many attempts to find a new job yet i still dont have one. I even broke down and spent some of my savings to go to school and got my EMT-B and still even with this certification i cant find a job. Sucks big balls. But im not gunna give up. I still have a few dollars left in the old bank account to keep me afloat.
Im just waiting for the next bill

Do what I do to keep afloat til jobs open up......Security Guard pretty much. I do security for low income housing and it pays my bills/plus mod money

I attend college at night as well i tired the security job and they all tell me all slot are filled. I know im capable of doing the job well but they all have military background. Trying to get a job doing security in a town thats has the biggest Marine Corps base on the east coast is tough lol. Not only that but most pfc and pvt are pulling that second job to help pay for their new Camaro or Mustang.

I have MP = Military Police background with 2 deployments so it was a walk in the park for me. I carry nothing right now since I don't need to but if I wanted I could carry Pepper spray/Cuffs/Asp/Hand gun

I would say that you need to have a clean background = No DUI's/Possesions/etc... And do a background check and finger prints and you should be good.

go online and apply at local autoparts stores. ya never know ya might get lucky and get something with one of them. pretty easy job really.

Perhaps it’s time to expand your search? There are jobs out there, unfortunately most need to go to them at the moment. Just a thought, have you checked with local retirement homes, or nursing homes....they love to have EMT's working at their facilities.

i applied at walmart, lowes, homedepot, jiffy lube, target, Marine Chevy dealership, moore buick, Jacksonville ambulances service, fire station on base and UPS and have yet to get a call back tomorrow im gunna go to the elderly home and see what i can scrap up.
