Nintendo Wii anticipation

Just wondering if this is gonna be as crazy as the PS3 i was just at best buy and people were waiting outside for it to come out.

Looked on ebay the prices arent crazy yet

I'll only get one (at any time when its available) if they make a normal controller for it, and make all games compatible with it. I know they're doing the whole "innovative" thing, and its great, but they're alienating some people. I love Nintendos' games, but I think I'll stick to the older consoles before I make myself look like an idiot trying to use the new controller.

i think they should just make one console that plays all games. like a PS360 or someshit. plays games from pc, playstation, xbox, game cube, 3DO, bla bla bla. that would be worth 600 bucks to me.

They do, its called buying a computer, waiting a year after the game comes out on the console, downloading an emulator and said game from internet, and there you go. All in one system.

Same, was there last night. People had tents pitched and everything, felt bad since it was cold yesterday. Some people go to great lengths for video games, I dont understand. I thought it was for PS3..but I asked one of the workers and she said it was for Wii

Wii > ps3 by a 4 to 1 margin in sales.... looks like the ps3 was a flop so far.

The wii is already moving to the halfway point of xbox 360 sales within 3 months of its launch, compared to the 1 year headstart for m$.

well more wii's were shipped than ps3's and the wii's are the system that remains sold out everywhere... you can find a ps3 anywhere.

I've had 3 friends come over to play the Wii since I got it. Having never played it they were reluctant to try it and did not like the controllers. But shortly after 10 minutes of play all doubts were gone and suddenly it was the most fun they have had playing a video game. Zelda was a good game but felt waaay too much like Octarina of Time and therefore I felt as if I was replaying it. Still a great game though.

same thing happened with my neighbors.. they went out and bought one as well... their ps3 doesnt get much play anymore.

PS3 whoops the Wii's ASS when it comes to graphics / capibility but thats what you're paying for, i plan on buying the ps3 when they are in the 300 range

Me too since there are some games that I love coming out.

$300 is still kinda high. Hah!

I loved Ocarina of Time, but believe it or not, I hated how long it was. In fact thats why I stopped playing the Wind Waker (or something).

I can see the Wii being fun, but I want better games. The "oohs and ahhs" will eventually fade and what will there be left?

for $600 ?!?! either a sli or crossfire setup on a PC will be 10x better for graphics then anything the ps3 can even attempt to pump out.

the major 3rd party developers are not even embracing the ps3's complexity... its a fat chance they will even bother to get it right.

madden '07 is a complete flop on the ps3 .. the xbox 360's version has far better graphics... same goes for fight night 3.
