Nightmare on Elm Street (Remake)

Saw it last night. For a remake it was not bad. They didn't screw with the main parts of the story, just a couple of little tweaks. Lots of scares that make you jump. And yes I did, even though I was expecting it.

It's a little darker, but Fready is a little less witty.

Over all liked it.

in the previews, freddy seemed more dark and less of a sinister smartass.

I didn't think Freddy was a smartass in the 1st one. It got rediculous in the later ones.

^^^ No, not even a cameo and I was looking for it. I think they did it for a clean break and not go into the horror comedy that was 80's "horror" films. Then again I also read sometime ago that he wanted nothing to do with this character anymore. Something about him getting pissed off that the character that he put so much into became a joke.

As a huge Freddy fan I enjoyed it. I agree that nobody can replace Robert Englund but this movie was pretty good I thought. I also enjoy the Funny Freddy. I thought that made him extra sadistic
