    nhrafirebird....

well, let me start off by calling you jackass since I would have to fit that into the thread somewhere. Might as well get it over now.

I've been making this kick ass marinade for a couple months you have to try ( if you haven't used it yet).

Go to the store and buy a big shaker of montreal steak seasoning. Put a cup or so of olive oil in a freezer bag and then pour in a cup or so of the montreal seasoning. I've been adding a half cup of strawberry's rub to it to give it some kick but since you don't have that add a tablespoon or so of cajun seasoning. I then take deer steaks and cut them into about 1"x1" cubes or a little bigger but keep them on the small side. Throw them in the bag with the marinade. Let that shit sit in your fridge for 2-3 days and then grill them. I do them for just a couple minutes each side and keep them med-med rare. Kick ass. I fed them to a couple buddies of mine the last 2 trips down to the woods and they're awesome. Gotta try it.

I've never tried that although these small cuts are only on there for 5-10 minutes. Just enough to keep them from running off the plate. I like them med rare or so.

I'll make it out that way one of these years. I'd need a trailer to haul all my shit out there though.

I cut the deer steak in cubes like that when i make kabobs on the grill. I use shrimp, onion, tomatoes and then wrap bacon around them. I will have to try that marinade next time. I have butch's rub right now, but i want to try the strawberry's rub sometime.

    BTW...
