new orleans sucks......I'm a life long fan and I'm not picking them in the pick em league. They have major major issues on both sides of the ball. Unless they sign a knock out wr between now and sunday they have virtually zero chance of winning that game. Byrd, Lewis, and Edebali are all supposed to start sunday which might change their D but that won't score them anymore TD's and I believe they've lost 6 straight at home so even home field isn't working to their favor.

Byrd was probably their worst signing that I can remember in a lot of ways - it mostly kicks them in the a$$ on their salary cap. Signing cry-baby Brees' contract was a mistake too. People like Tom Brady restructure to help their team. Seattle will suffer the same fate as the Saints, due to "everyone getting paid", too.

yep....that byrd signing has been a train wreck. If he had come in and lit it up that would make it a little easier to take but he's played 4 games in almost 2 years and missed both training camps. I don't think Drew's contract was a mistake....it's the going rate for a franchise QB these days. Look at how much Cutler got paid and everyone since then. I also think Drew would restructure if it came down to that....he actually converted some money to a signing bonus yesterday freeing up $2.6M. I don't think the team wants to do that because his contract ends next years so they're biting the bullet until then and either trade him or get him or get him at a much more cap friendly price.

That will be an interesting dynamic of all what goes on with Brees between now and the end of this year. There's too many variables to consider, but money will probably be the #1 factor with the Saints organization on this one.

other than maybe Cutler and his wife you'll have a hard time finding anyone to argue that you're wrong.

Here's a list of QB's above Drew in pay scale:
    Aaron Rodgers
    Russell Wilson
    Ben Roethlisberger
    Eli Manning
    Philip Rivers
    Cam Newton
    Matt Ryan
    Joe Flacco

When you look at that list Drew's contract makes a lot more sense. It's just how the QB contracts go....every year they get bigger and bigger.Mariota and/or Winston will probably be at or near the top of that list when their time comes.

I don't but I do think he's been a pretty damn good QB that all but about 2 or 3 teams wished they had the last 10 years.

His numbers speak for themselves. He's not the best, but overall a pretty decent QB. Is he worth what they are paying him? No. But he's not the reason the Bears suck and have for several years.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

I hate him due to his constant sprained Labias...
When he shows up to play with his big boy pants on he's good. When he shows up in his 5 year old pants he's highly inaccurate and throws temper tantrums essentially. I just wish they'd get a non bipolar qb so he stops getting talked about

Yeah...well...I don't see that happening. As seen, they'll trade the whole f'ing team first before they get rid of him. Who would you recommend to replace him that can score 48+ points...what the awesome defense gives up?

Problem is they can't get rid of him if they wanted to with that damn contract.
