NFL Draft Thread
Thought s on the draft? How did your teams do in your opinion. I am a Dolphins fan and this year I am quite happy unlike last year when I almost broke my LCD TV when we passed on Quinn and took Ginn. I think our first pick was awesome in Jake Long. That kid is a friggin monster and will sure as hell shore up the offensive line a lot. I figured next we would give up Jason Taylor for a late first round pick or second rounder and then take a DE. Very happy we kept Taylor for now and picked up a good DE in Merling and to top it all off we were able to snag Chad Henne with our 2nd pick up the 2nd round. This is basically the exact outcome I had hoped for with a Taylor trade, and we did it without having to trade him. I am VERY happy. Well played Bill Parcells Hopefully my next wish will come true and we will somehow get Chad Johnson. I know old Ocho Cinco wants to come to Miami and I want him.

I follow NFL more than college. Although Notre Dame is my college team so I was extra pissed in last years draft when we let Quinn go.

I'm thrilled after day 1. My favorite NFL team drafted the star player from my favorite college team...so that was exciting. Carolina drafted Oregon's RB Jonathan Stewart. Plus, they traded up to get the key OT they really needed. So, far looks like they are doing really well.

I was surprised at how long it took for the first WR to be drafted. Raiders now have the nucleus to potentially be a powerhouse in a few years again. A little surprised that Dorsey lasted till the 5th pick

I saw Dorsey falling to 5 after the Falcons picked Ryan. I actually thought Dorsey would fall farther or a trade with KC would have been made. KC desperately needed O-line help, but oh well. I'm pretty disappointed that the Chiefs did take Dorsey, because now my favorite team(Broncos) has to play against him twice a year. I like that the Broncos took Clady, that should help protect Cutler a little bit better than last year. I would have liked to have seen the Broncos pick up Limas Sweed in the 2nd round, but I think Royal should do alright. Other than that, I really like the new time limit they've put on. The draft flew by this year as opposed to last year's that seemed to drag on forever.

Yep no recievers in the first round. Weird. I think McFadden will be good but honestly I think Russell is overhyped and won't do shit in the NFL. I wasn't surprised Dorsey went 5th. I knew Long would go 2nd and Atlanta really needs a franchise guy to try to take away the Mike Vick Stigma from the organization. Also Al Davis taking the drafts top running back is no surprise.

I think Baltimore did really well in the draft as well. I think Flacco has got the goods to be a heck of a QB and to get Rice where they did was a miracle for them.

my nipples got hard when they were throwing around the idea of the Saints trading a pick and making a deal for Shockey. Didn't happen and probably won't but damn he would fit in nicely with the Saints. I can just picture him at TE and Bush in the slot.

-im still a little taken back by how many damn picks the chiefs had
-i really dont understand the raiders pickin mcfadden, they finally gave fargas a change and he tore shit up...they also just drafted michael bush last year who [at least NFL wise] is better then reggie as long as he heals that knee up
-New England did enough to stay tank as shit [LBs]
-all the "experts" complained the lions should have drafted defensively....im not sure how they finished but for a while the lions were up there in sacks and picks meanwhile no one has gotten sacked more than Jon Kitna in the last 2 years....i think its like 120 sacks which ends up bein what more than 3 a game, so good call on their part with the O-lineman
-if John David Booty gets good [i dont think Tarvaris Jackson will ever be more than average] the Vikings are pretty set to dominate within a couple years, they are STACKED and for the most part, they are youngNo Replacement For Displacement

I know the Cowboy's made off like bandits this year with the running back situation and cornerback. Just can't wait to play the G-stringers!!! Coming for #6 this year!!!
