newest project....
Last year my brother gave me his old craftsman rider to make a yard toy out of for Zach. It's sat in the shed for that year collecting dust. I got it out last week and started taking the deck off of it and doing a pulley swap to make it faster. One thing led to another and now it's no longer going to be a yard toy for Zach but a racing mower for me. Zach has a 4 wheeler.....doesn't need a mower. When he gets taller/older he'll be my driver........if I have it finished by then.
how it started:
the way it currently sits:
Turned cold here for a few days so sometime mid week I'm hoping to get it outside and degrease it and start welding in frame supports. After I get that done I'll be able to start building it back using mostly kart parts. For now the engine will stay stock (17.5HP) with only an open exhaust which I've already built, pulley swap, and the govenor removed. It will get cammed at some point though. This is going to be a long term project for the simple reason there's no way I can convince my wife to let me drop $2000 on a mower that doesn't cut grass so I'll be building a lot of the parts that would be much easier to buy.

Hot dog! Orion, you remind me of this guy who lives down the street from me who's always out in his driveway dicking around with his lifted jeep (which I've never seen leave his driveway) while holding a beer.
