huh? how is that cheap? if you look back ten years ago the rate of which the price of gas and oil has gone up compared to anything else is ridiculous

I didn't say "cheap", I said "cheaper than any of our alternatives", there is a difference. That is unless you stopped buying gas and now buy a cheaper alternative. If so, please let us know what it is.
And remember, if you don't like the price of gas you could just stop buying it. Actions speak louder than words, so if you continue to buy gas you are demonstrating that it is the cheapest alternative.

Yea, I heard this bullsh__t that its cheaper than a gallon of water etc.....which is true, but we use 5 times more gas than we do any other liquid making it much harder on our pocket books.

I overheard someone talking about some shit to the effect that we should be happy at gas prices cause we are making more money now. Basically our rise in income versus the rise in gas is equal or our income has rises even more.
I NEVER got to buy ANY gas for $1 or under so all I care about is what they are raping me for now!!

They keep raising the prices in the summer to screw all the travelers and then when the "busy travel season" is over, they lower the prices. But the prices are lowered to a little bit ABOVE what they were before they raised them so there is a net increase in price! A-Holes! This seems to happen every year...in CA anyway where I'm at.
Then, you have the bees, bugs, and bunnies bunch with their prius and whatever hybrids. But they dont understand that they just got shafted up front instead of the slow shafting the rest of us get. They pay the high price for the hybrid up front. Then they will get shafted when the battery or fuel cell has to be disposed...or replaced or whatever.
Anyway, at the end...only the people making these cars and oil companies win!
WE SUCK AGAIN!!!!

So you admit that buying gas is your cheapest alternative, why complain?
Furthermore your "need" (put in quotes since gas is not a need) for gas is due to the decisions you made. You decided to live so far from your job that you could not walk/ride a bike, you decided to buy a mode of transportation that uses gasoline, etc. But instead of everyone taking responsibility for their decisions, all we seem to do is play the role of victim that we are all so good at these days and blame our problems on someone else.
