Why? All those things taste so much better than shiny glass and metal with rotting fruit inside.
OP - I manage my company's phone fleet and we are currently working on going all Android (ditching Blackberry and iPhone)...the RAZR and RAZR MAXX are our phones of choice. My RAZR has been great so far...even in it's Otter Box case it's very manageable, and that nice big screen is a godsend in the business world. I can view an entire quote page and actually read it without having to pinch-zoom in and out all over the place. The phone is a great choice, and I can't think of any negatives that i've encountered in the six months that i've been using it.

I have the RAZR no complaints, except for the vibration does not work anymore after upgrading to ics. It cuts in and out and vibrates when it wants to. Also Motorola has not had much backing from Google in recent months. I recommend going with the Galaxy S3.

I've noticed quite a few things with ICS I do not like now. Volume control for notifications being one. The volume key no longer controls text message notification volume or gaming volume, it only controls ring tone volume. Anyone else notice this? I have the Bionic. Other than that, 4G seems flawless now.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Why so much hate on the iPhone?
It was quite a nice upgrade from the AT&T Tilt with windows mobile on it!

I personally have nothing against the iPhone (Apple as a company is a whole different story)...there are just too many much better options out there, so it's fallen off of my recommendations list.
Apple used to own the smartphone world, but these days they've been left in the dust.

Everyone with ICS issues I've noticed a common denominator. Motorola...
I'm getting ready to drop my freezing up regularly and other nonsense problems Droid in favor of a GS3. Just trying to decide to switch carriers since it looks like I've lost my new every 2 year upgrade even though I should've been grandfathered still.(been under current contract before VZW did away with it so should have had 1 left). Plus Sprint would save money. Wife wants me to gol on her AT&T plan thoughLast edited by GTP231; 11-22-2012 at 03:22 AM.

Maybe it's me, but I have heard the iPhones break rather easily. I considered an iPhone but saw the Samsung Stratosphere and have that now. My first smartphone. I'm quite pleased.

When I got my work iPhone, I wanted to turn off the bubbles in text. Nope. Ok, so I will download the same app I use on my Android. Nope. I have to root it. But before that, I had to create a iTunes account. ok...then they wanted my credit card info. Fuck no. I hate Apple products.

I've bought five iPhone 5's for my company since they came out, and so far, three have had to be returned. Two had touchscreen failure and one would not connect to wifi (both of these are documented common issues with the iPhone 5). Now one of the replacement phones has stopped responding to touch...only two weeks old.
It's really not looking good for Apple.

I'm a tech geek who stays up to date on pretty much everything regarding tech I can and couldn't disagree more with the left in the dust comment. Yes, the Galaxy S III has now surpassed the iPhone as the best selling smart phone, but that hardly means it's been left in the dust. Apple is a strange company as far as control goes, but that's their choice and it hasn't hurt them. But they do make some great products.
