Actually not really anything to fret about if youre in a t/a. Stock for stock from the line yea the 5.0 pulls but from any kind of roll t/a pulls. Driver mod is the only thing that matters.

2011 GT 6 speed vs 98-02 ls1 f-body 6 speed, the 5.0 should walk it. From a roll or dig. But it has to do with drivers aswell. The mustang is about the same weight with more power and if optioned a more agressive gear and better tires. But then again most f-bodys are not on stock spec tires.

i would only hope ford and or any other car maker could develop technology and an engine today, that could beat an almost 15 years old engine... Otherwise progress in life sucks ass...

btw its definitely a drivers race with a slight edge to the mustang...

awesome thing is, even a baby cam would gurantee a ls1 win.... Plus Lsx engine cammed sound great and cheap/easy to do... a cammed mustang = too much cost + too much work

The new mustang is also faster than the ls3 new camaro. So they have car that can also beat GMS current pony car.
