New Ford GT to cost $400,000

And you're going to take a $400,000 car to a Ford dealership for service? Yea...fuck that. I cringe when the ZR1 goes in. Even if I had that kind of money I wouldn't buy the car. You can get an Aventador for that price. Capped at 250 units per year as well.

Plain and simple.......it just isn't worth it IMHO. I'm sure they'll all sell.....but they'll all go to 1%'ers.

With hte last gen ford gt they showed they can make an amazing looking car with a cool powertrain for 150k. The only problem was all the electrical gremlins. Good news was the cars were so good looking even when they wouldn't start you had something nice to look at. Hopefully for 400k they figured out the electronics.

Funny how you can buy a kit car like the Superlite Coupe SLC for under $30k and put in the engine of you choice and still have a awesome looking car and for so much less.

I personally would build a shelby cobra kit car if I ever decided to build a kit. I've thought about it a few times but I would piss the world off and put in a turbo 5.3 or an LS1 haha

I was trying to keep it in the GT looks and class. As awesome as Cobras are they are not a supercar.

But a Cobra kit car is probably the only kit where you stand a chance of at least breaking even when you sell it.

Most kit cars are worse than a boat as far as resale, primarily due to questionable build skills/quality.

Plus the fact that most people don't want a ferrari/lambo with a fierro engine under the hood.
