New Edition to my collection!
So this is my newest project. It's an '86 Fiero 2.8L FI 5 speed car. I have not yet seen it in person, but it was free
BF's family owns a junk yard and this little guy came in. It's been sitting for about 4-5 years, not running and my BF said it's in pretty decent shape. He got a starter for it and the little guy runs pretty good
So here he is.....
Now I just need to find a nice body kit and figure out what motor package I really want to go with. The 3.8L SC motor mounts easily and is a bolt on to the tranny so that might be an inexpensive route to make it quick and beat up on some ricers

.. Im not a fan of these things... they handle good but other than that FTL. It would be a good track car .. just bring a trailor.

We bought my wife one of those back in 86'. It was a 1984, so it didn't have the wing that one does. It was actually a cool little car for what it was. Not fast, but handled decent. Kind of cool for it's day, had speakers in the head rests, other neat stuff.
I consider the Fiero a piece of history for sure.....2002 Camaro SS - SLP # 7744
SLP SFC
SLP Blackwing
SLP Panhard Bar
SLP LCA's
SLP 85mm MAF
SLP 160 degree stat
SLP Y-pipe
Diablo Tuner

Fieros are one of those cars you either love or hate.
I think they are great little cars. They can be made fast, handle well cause of the mid motor placement and do have nice lines
I work for a body shop so the first thing this little guy is getting are gonna be cosmetics to bring it back. Then I'll worry about how to make it quick. I'm not looking for this to be a 10 second car. I would be happy to keep up with a stock LS1

No I'm not gonna attempt an LS1 fiero
It takes enough to swap an LS1 into a 3rd gen. The fiero is probably gonna stay a 6 cyl and get some forced induction
There is a large market for the 3.8L performance wise and like I said in a prior post it's almost a bolt in

Bright Red- 1999 Trans Am Ws6
LT1 in the fiero = qwng no thats not a typo, an lt1 would be one letter greater than pwng.

Ya unfortunately most do. Although it was no where near an epidemic as it's reputation has preceeded it NHTSA has only 148 reports of Fire. Pontiac reports 260.

Blue GMC Canyon- trans ams gone now
my sis used to have an 87 or 88 4banger fiero. neat lil cars and they are one that you either love or hate. i personally liked it and wouldnt mind getting one someday to either do the 3.8 or lt1 swap. nimble cars and i know the lt1 swap dont add too much weight to it. dont have the magazine with it anymore but you can look up lt1archie.com i think.
