In my experience magazine numbers are often 3-5 tenths slower than a good driver in good air can achieve. Also, my car was in the 11's at 108mph so I would expect the Challenger to perform significantly better than the magazine numbers indicate, probably mid 12s if driven by someone who knows what they are doing, with decent traction at sea level.

Pewter- 2002 T/A WS6
Me too. Didn't one magazine have a pro driver run like a 12.8 or 12.9 in a bone stock T/A in 2002? I think it was even Car and Driver that did that, right?
I am reading the entire article and saw it comes with some very nice high performance summer tires - Goodyear F1 Supercar summer tires. That also plays an important role when comparing the tested cars by the magazines. Slap those on a stock '02 T/A instead of the ones it came with and that should improve the time a tad too.Last edited by fluke; 05-06-2008 at 04:51 AM.
