Netfix users please come inside.
I been meaning to sign up for a while now.
I am more interested of watching Netflix on my Xbox.
Now my question is:
Does Netflix has shows like "The Pacific" or "The band of brothers"?
I like a lot of mini series shows on HBO and Showtime. Do they carry those shows?
I don't want to subscribe HBO and Showtime directly through my cable. Its a waste of money.

I have Netflix via Tivo. They really dont do the mini series. I know they dont do Band of Brothers and The Wire. You can rent them but not watch online. The do a lot of tv shows via seasons. I did see Weeds but that seems to be the only one..

They have Weeds, The Tudors etc...
I don't know about Xbox, but I've had Netflix for years and caught up on several Showtime series. Also watched all of the Soprano's just a last year I think it was. HBO.
I really like Netflix. 3 out at a time works for us.
Ironically, my husbands working on Weeds right now.

Like thunder said there's no B of B or pacific but it has all the seasons of Dexter ,Brotherhood, Lost, Prison Break, King of the hill, deadliest catch, xfiles and tons more. I do the $10 a month thing for unlimited instant watch and 1 movie at a time rental...if you have broadband it's totally worth it. You can watch on your puter too with wifi/3g...they use silverlight so even my netbook plays seamlessly.

dang.
That sucks. I guess they only stream shows that been out for a while.
Or do they stream certain shows the following day after airing?

The reason B0fB is not available on Netflix is because Spielberg won't let it. Afraid of Piracy. He's very restrictive of what films are released

Anything in your que you can watch on Live but it's even better than that. Live is the only one so far that lets you add/delete movies from your que on the 360...it shows you the new movies/tv series...recommends movies you might like, etc. My parents stream netflix on their blu-ray player and it's no where as good as the 360....all you can do is scroll across and watch your movies.

99% of the steaming stuff is old. There are a few new things like SeVeReDiStOrTiOn said spartacus was out quick. That is really the only thing that I have seen come out that quick. Eventually netflix will get with the times and make all the new stuff instant streaming its the way of the future. IMO there are very few movies on streaming that are worth a damn most are 80s-early 2000's movies. If there a newer movie its some crap movie that went straight to dvd. The best part IMO about the streaming is the tv shows, lots of good ones. I've watched the last couple seasons of rescue me, friday night lights, lost, spartucus, and am now watching weeds. Honestly for $10(one dvd at a time) a month its worth it to me. I use the streaming way more than dvds I think I have only taken out 2 dvds in the last 4 months.

I love Netflix. I can watch movies through my Wii, Xbox 360, or Laptop. I also get to rent all the movies I was too lazy to see in theaters. I do the 2 DVD's at a time and so does my brother. Totally worth it.

its not worth for me i guess. Regular movies I just DL. Like Iron man 2, I downloaded that movie 3 weeks ago. stuff like that I can just DL, but good shows like BofB and Pacific I can't.
If Netflix doesn't carry those shows, then its not worth it for me.

If you want to watch a LOT of older shows, then get it. They dont have many new ones when it comes to watching them online like that. I have it on my ps3, and I RARELY use it because of that.

Blockbuster is the biggest rip off in the world. I threw my netflix receipt on the counter when i closed my account and told them this is why they are losing customers and to fuck off. They charged two 24 dollar charges to my account and could not tell me what it was for. They transfered me to 4 locations and then to corporate for an hour who just told me one of the local locations would need to request removal of the charges. Not to mention its like 7 dollars for a 5 day rental for 1 movie. I have unlimited for a month for 8.99. Even when it comes to newer movies they overnight them to me so I wait one day and use the live stream in the mean time.
I have been watching my name is earl seasons lately.Last edited by Zinergy; 05-11-2010 at 07:36 AM.
