It's really not his responsibility to monitor or control what the kid is doing on facebook, he's an uncle, the brother of his mother or father, he shouldn't be involved in that at all, he's not the parent.

My brother has told me before that if his kids act up or do something stupid when he is not around then to set them straight in whatever way I see fit within reason. It doesn't help the kid to let him get away with that just b/c the parents aren't around.
