Question Need your opinion on something about my Z28.

I was thinking of painting my Z28 “Flat Black” like the old Gassers, and putting a 4" Cowl Induction Hood, and some Weld Draglites.

Do you think that would look cool?

By the way, here’s a picture of Weld Draglites:

    Skip the cowl.

    Otherwise, it would look SHARP!!
Although I like the Weld ProStars better.

You do know that those wheels don't fit without some serious grinding on the rear calipers?

Could somebody Photoshop this picture of my car, and make it Flat Black, with the 4" cowl, and the Draglites?

So I can see what it looks like.

I was told I couldn't use wheels like that because the brakes would over heat ???

    But, I like them!

I did it to mine to fit the ProStars. About an hour and a half of grinding on them....a side.

Older cars look good in flat black.

Putting flat black on a newer car (almost anything built after 1980) just turns it into an instant beater.

One suggestion is to use a combo of flat black and flat grey, and do a Foose style two tone iwth it. I saw a Fox body don't up like that, with a contrasting pinstripe between the two colors, and it actually looked really good.

Awesome Idea!!! Love the cowl on these cars. Also put some glossy SS Stipes along with it. I had those wheels on my old nova, Love em'

Don't make it a true flat black though, Go with a satin black. It has a little bit of a sheen to it.

There was a thread a while back with a few 'Maros painted in this fashion. I absolutely loved the look.

i think it's brilliant, i'm actually toying with the flat black or grey theme myself. i don't know about the rims though. too retro, the whole theme needs to be translated into a modern approach that fits the overall style of the car.
