    need used tool box.

Ok. I started work at Michigan Caterpillar about 2 weeks ago. Great job. aside from not havin many tools.... i desperately need a used tool box. about 1000 dollars is all im gonna spend. i have searched the Internet countless times, eBay, whatnot. Can not find a used tool box. i want a side by side with one big drawer on top. it has to be side by side so i can set stuff on top. anyone here know of a good site of which i can find used tool boxes? or can i buy yours?

since its your first box... why not just go buy a craftsman box from sears or something... they have some nice ones that are good size that fit in your budget. something like this http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...Cabinet+Combos. which is quite big has ball bearing drawers (these are a must) and griplock latches, so when you move your box the drawers dont open and fly around.. or if that is too big you could go smaller. Not to sound like a salesman or anything, but i used to work at sears in the tool dept, and the more expensive boxes are nice... expecially for a starter tool box, i bet that same size toolbox from snapon or matco would be upwards of 3g's

Yeah, I'd just get ask your tool guy (Snap-on, Mac, or Matco) if he knows anyone selling one. You'd be surprised how many guys are selling BIG ASS tool boxes cheap or trading up... I have a nice Snap-ON box I bought used for around $800 from the Snap-On truck. I just can't see spending $4000 for a new box. Mine isn't that big, but I've got around $10,000 worth of tools in it. Since I'm not in that line of work anymore I only use them for working on the T/A....
