    Need test mules.

I need three test mules. I will provide oil and filters and UOA lab fee's. We will be testing Royal Purple, Amsoil and Pennzoil Platinum. I would like middle of the road modified to stock LSX motors. Daily driven preferred. Or at the least a few hundred miles a week.
I will need daily logs of driving conditions/miles etc.
We will post all data and UOA's.
    We will make three runs.
We will have a baseline UOA done.

If interested post here. Need car/motor/location and driving habit info.
    Example would be
    2002 Camaro
    LS1 Headers/Cam/Tune
    Ft. Wayne, Indiana
Driven daily 32 miles 40% City 60% Highway.

I am working with Blackstone labs and our sponsor here in CompSyn Amsoil.
Thanks in advance to our volunteers. I suspect this will be a very popular thread all over the internet and across many forums. No bullshit straight up real world data that is controlled and all results posted for the world to see. Having three different cars will give us statistical data that most have not achieved.

I think we must run the oil a minimum of 3K. I suspect this exercise will take the better of 6 months. It will be an ongoing exercise.

I may ask for a fourth and run a conventional oil for comparison purposes.

I would be up to it. My car is a DD, some bolt ons. It is almost ready for a LOF now anyway. With winter coming up,it might take 5-6 months to get 3k miles. My drive to work is only a little over 5 miles, I know that is hard on oil! I currenty use PP due to your advice.

Well this will not be a quickie for sure. Each car will run each oil twice for each OCI. We will test the 2nd OCI.
So we are talking about 8 oil changes and 24K per car. The data will be valuable.

For sponsors so far I have NAPA for the filters and Amsoil with their oil. I'm working on the others from Royal Purple and Pennzoil. I will post their responses. You know it tells me a lot if they decline an objective/no holes barred/level playing field head to head competition won't it? Pennzoil Platinum will probably be sponsored by AutoZone but I do not have confirmation as of this morning.

    Some of the parameters.
All oils will be the same viscosity.
All oil filters will be NAPA Gold.
All testing done by the same lab and we will provide you the test sample kits.
We will ask you document each OCI with various specifics.
This will be a no bullshit field test on LSX motors.
    You'll be famous.

I need to change my oil, so if you want to use my car, I will wait. I was actually gonna switch to Pennzoil Platinum from RP after reading all of your posts about oil...

Give me the rest of this week and we should begin. I'll ship all the stuff to each tester. So at the latest end of next week we should be going.

I'm very interested in the results, as many are, I'm sure.

    Since I'm in MN - I'm like Suede - I wouldn't be a candidate.

Each tester will be asked to mail the test kit. Couple of bucks. I think I pay like $2.60 or something. I would pay but I dont know how to pre pay the post. So your oil and filter change will cost you a couple of stamps Not a bad deal.
Bottom line is we will have absolute data from the field.
LS1.COM will once again lead the way in lubrication technology amongst all the forums out there.
    Good all the way around.
    I'm thinking
    Amsoil
    Chevron Supreme
    Pennzoil Platinum
    Mobil1
is more representative of what most users are utilizing today and none will be harmful to anybody's motor.
