Need some info on a citation

This afternoon I got a speeding ticket, 23 over, 88 in a 65 clocked by laser. I figure I'll get my license suspended, but does anyone know what the fine will be like? I couldn't find it on the city's webpage... it was written up by a GA state trooper in Marietta, GA. Thanks.

That sucks! You can say your speedo failed seeing you have a 3rd gen.

But you might be able to get away with it, really. Right next to a DUI, a speeding ticket is my worst fear.

Funny should should ask that. I got a 21 over...86 in a 65 a few months ago. I was caught passing 2 cars on a pretty open freeway 830pm at night(a completely safe pass).

The fine was like $269 plus $30 for traffic school(optional). I went to the court date and talked to the DA...she basically said I either have to pay or go to trial and see what the cop has to say about it.

Yes it does, including this ticket I'll have 6 points, so I wont get my license suspended from that... I thought I would get my license suspended from the speeding itself, but I looked it up and its 24mph over for people under 21 years old, I thought it was 21 over, so I got damn lucky

Mines not getting suspended...i'm even going to traffic school for it so the ticket will never hit my record. See if the judge will allow you to go to traffic school. You can do them online and it's cake...takes about 30 minutes max. Or you can sit in a 8 hr class and hope there's some hot chics in there..

My freind got a speeding ticket from the highway patrol doing a 100 in a 45 zone. Got fined a $1000.00 + 100 hours community service. He was only sixteen. Smart ass decided to buy a radar after that.

I got stopped for 100+ in a 35 and was left off with a warning!

you might be able to ask for "......" forgot whats its called but if you get another ticket you pay the maximum on both but on this one they let you off super easy. im sure somebody else knows what i mean

I remember that... I can't remember what its called either, but I think it was being talked about in another thread
