Not that they are in an ls1 vehicle, but i love my prothane poly engine mounts. Extremely high quality, they fit perfect and really really do the job well. Not to mention the vibration is minimal.

I was thinking about the Prothane ones but I also know about the solid ones. I want to get some feedback on both.

Ill probably end up going with these prothane ones.... http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...13bcd70c0f510c

Or should I spring for the prothane motor and trans combo? http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...13bcd70c0f510c

I did the prothane combo, and it made the shifting much better as well. A lot of people will tell ya to do solids, but the poly's are really hard as it is and if this is your street car those solids are gonna fuckin vibrate your car like hell. Solids maybe in a race car.

That sounds good to me, yeah my car is gonna stay a street car almost exclusively with track days every now and then. The prothane motor and tranny mount combo is looking like the one. Should be simple to put in while doing LTs right?

In my experiences they can be tricky to do. If you are gonna do LT's do yourself a favor and do the headers and the mounts at the same time.

Basically for reet car stay with stock rubber, much less vibration.

In a street strip car go with poly and do the engine and tranny mounts, and you may as well get a bushing kit to make it a complete package.

In a strip only car go with solid.

With poly it is more than just the mounts that contribute to noise and vibration... I have a stroker and longtubes, plus a very hard shifting automatic with a 3600 stall so there is a lot of opportunity for vibration to be a problem. Personally, I like it, but the majority of people do not.

Oh yea... Nothing is "simple" about engine mounts unless you pull the motor but with the right tools and a lift it isn't too bad.

It'd be the best time to do them. Plenty of room while the manifolds are off the car
