Need a name for her...
So I've been waiting for months and I got the call today...
Going to look at an 8 week old female Pitbull that my awesome cousin at the humane society is holding for me.
She got her in today and called me right away because she knew what I was looking for.
Dog is all white, with a spot on her eye and on her head. I have not seen her in person yet. Tomorrow will be judgement day.
My whore of a ex-gf took my black lab named Roxy when we split up like 2 years ago. I've been without a dog since. This one is mine, and mine only
Also - Any Pit owners out there? Any advice? I've been reading quite a bit about them online. I've already called my homeowners and I am covered. Backyard is fenced in and she will start obedience training pretty soon after I get her as well as being taken to the park to socialize her.
I'll post pics as soon as I can...assuming I like her...which I am pretty sure I will

name her "liability". Or "accident waiting to happen". Or "court date".
Just busting your chops. They're good dogs if you know what you're doing. I've had several through the years. I'm on the hunt for a bull mastiff that doesn't cost $1000. I won't spend that much money on a dog. I'd like to have one though.
With the spot it's a shame she's a female....."Petey" would be hard to pass up.

I know you've been wanting one for quite a while now.
A name... you're going to have to spend a little time with her, check out her personality and I'm sure the perfect name will just come to you
I hope it works out.

You get what you pay for. I wouldnt worry about paying more up front for a well-bred dog, because in the long run you'll save money, especially with a breed like mastiffs, which certainly have their share of health issues (less likely with a well-bred dog). Do your research and pry open the wife's checkbook.

The problem with the 40$ dogs is that with the additional health problems typically associated with dogs that cheap, you end up paying more for vet trips, and you're dealing with a less healthy dog, which sucks. It's even more important with a breed like mastiffs, which are above average on health risks. The wife's paying anyways, just get one
The secondary point of this post is to continue with thread hijacking.
