fairly dependable. If it hasn't already been done you may want to purchase your fuel pump now.

Quite reliable overall, but one of the worst crash safety ratings among small/midsize SUVs.

Looks like the rockers and rear doors have rust. If you do change fuel pumps, go with the GM replacement. Costs more first time, but worth it in long run. Make sure the front end is tight. I just sold a 93 with over 200,000and it was fairly good transportation, except for fuel pump and front end.

Buy it, buddy has 277,XXX miles and it still tows snowmobiles about 6 hours. Fuel pump and intake gasket and your set. He did both just once

As previously stated. Check or Buy Ball Joints. And check the heater core.. This is one of those fun models you need to pull the dash to do (about 6 hours labor wise) ..All GM V6 intake gaskets suck.. Not just this model..well, on model years up to about 2005 ish anyhow.
4.3 V6 tends to be a real workhorse tho.. crappy fuel economy but should run for damn near forever.

GM upgraded it's fuel pump design from Vane style to Turbine style..Delphi is the name you want to use.. Almost all aftermarket stores will offer either style..
One of the big tricks to GM Fuel pumps is KEEPING THE GAS AT 1/4 Tank or Higher.. Keeps the pump submerged thereby cooling the pump.
Once the pump is upgraded to the newer style, this isn't so much an issue..And about a third of GM pump replacements really only need the harness replaced.. It tends to get super hot and melt/warp..Still have to yank the tank etc.. IF you do a pump, do the complete Module - pump, sending unit etc... I have had so many "just pump" replacements fail in a year or two I will not do it that way at any of my stores. Just food for thought.

early 4runner or pathfinder > Blazer. We've had two S10's and two S10 Blazers, they're cool, but absolute shit. Other than the gaskets (never had trouble with them) the motor is great
