Need help picking car for wife

Our 10 year anniversary is coming up and it has been a joke since when we were dating that if we made it 10 years I would buy her a nice car. Well it is next week and I am going to live up to that joke/promise. Below are 3 choices that I know she loves. She is a great driver and has a suv for winter so give me pro's and cons regardless of price. Thanks!

BMW you will not die when she gets a scratch on it, or a jealous bitch at the store keys it, and you will not take a huge hit when you try to resale like on the mercedes

The Z06, The BMW is nice but not as fun as the vette and IMO I like the Vette better than the Benz, and the Benz are high maitnence. Will you be driving it some? If so which of the 3 would you prefer?

Well, for the "rush" she has driven my other toyz. She has her license to go sub 10's at the track She likes the power but that is not the brunt of it...she likes style, comfort and handling. Either of the 3 she will be totally happy but before I spend money I want to make sure it is right. Like stated, resale value, maintenance etc... are factors. I would like the z06 but I have to keep telling myself this is all about her.

The BMW will be in the shop too much, or on a tow truck going to the shop.

For style and comfort go with the BMW. Im sure the BMW has some performance as well. You may also want to condiser saftey as well. The BMW is the safest of the three.

Not the benz... I'd go for the BMW or the Z06. Benz and BMW are both going to be $$$ for maintenances and the benz will need repaired at some point. The BMW would make it longer I think. I don't honestly think you sound like someone who would be too concerned about the maintenance costs, but it is something to think about maybe.

    Nice gift.

I'm thinking 7 series instead of 5. Just curious, what would pull you to an M3 in the BMW world?

Yea, maintenance cost don't bother me at all. We have a lift at the house and at this point I can do it myself unless it is a major problem. That would be under the warrenty anyway.

Originally a few years ago she mentioned the M3, and then liked the 5 when she saw it. She said the 7 would be to big for her but I have not checked into it knowing it is more money.

She has a Denali that she drives during the winter so that isn't part of the deciding factor.

the best un-opinionated advice you can get is to go to consumerguide.com and read the reviews for each model year you are looking for.

I would personally go for the benz because it is quite a head turner, fast, and classier than the rest. PErosnally, i see too many 5 series around town when im home in NYC, but i dont know what its like where you live. I have seen only a handful of the new slk 55s and they got good reviews from motor trend

Bmw's are a dime a dozen but the M series are not. Have not seen the AMG and only saw 1 Z06 around here. Problem is she loves all 3, money is not a real issue but obviously cheaper is better (more mod money for me). I am going to get her best friend and have her come with me and let her drive all 3 and see which she loves the most. She is similar to my wife so we will see. Thanks for the input.

I'd go with the Z06, if winter driving won't be a problem, also maintenance costs for the other 2 are going to be quite high, plus the Z06 is the fastest of the bunch and looks by far the best, do you have kids? if so you might want to consider the bimmer, if you let your wifes best friend drive them, she's going to pick the one SHE likes, I'd talk to your wife and act unserious and see which one she would rather have. I vote ZO6, the German cars are nice but when something does break, it's an arm and a leg to fix.

I think the ZO6 looks better too.
