Saturn SC2, SL2, or SW2.
Cheap, reliable, and always 30mpg or better.

Blackety Black- 35th Anniversary SS
Geo Tracker, i beat the shit out of one for a year and ever put a tree stump through the floor while wheeling and it never quit running... Great gas mileage and if you get one with 4x4 it will go anywhere since it has such a short wheelbase... Just don't get an auto cuz they are 3-speeds...

Hmm, lotta options, but I have a good freind with a 03 impala with 114xxx miles, cool dd and extremely cheap, i'd try to go for one of those. Get the black steelies, lower it and tint the windows, it will be one badass dd.
And, i think they are pretty popular at the police auctions judging by what he said, says there were alot of em in there. He got his for like 4k.
I've heard good things about the 3.8's also so i doubt realibility will be an issue with it, my freind hasn't had any problems with his either.

I have a freind with an 03 that looks JUST like that it's just black and lowered like 2 inches I believe, badass dd if you ask me and not expensive at all.

Or just skip that and get a s/c grand prix or regal. I do like the tail lights on that gen Impala though.

I would say Saturn also. I have a 96 sl2 as a beater and it is a great car. Maintenance is cheap/easy to do. 5 speed for reliability
