    Mexican killed my car

My vette is being a bitch!

Piece of shit hasn't been running right for awhile now but it's been to damn cold to work on it. I checked everything i knew how to check (even enlisted the help of some forums) and every part worked perfect. I took it to a local mechanic (that knows his shit) and he can't figure it out either. His computer says everything is fine, did all the tests i did plus some and still no luck. He is going to look over it again later today before he throws in the towel and i try somewhere else.

I'm thinking it might be the ECM taking a shit. Great times.

Checked that already. The last two possible things are timing (which his computer shows is right, but he is going to check with a light) and the ECM. I forgot he only checked the compression of 4 of the cylinders so he has 4 more to do. Other than that, everything has been checked.

What is it doing? NAPA sells the ECM's for under $200 with core exchange. But what is it doing?

Idles like shit and some times it doesn't want to start yet the spark, fuel, compression, and vac lines are fine.

I talked to the guy last night and he said he hooked it up to the computer again and saw something off on the Idle Air Control numbers. He was getting ready to mess with it when i called. It didn't pop any codes though. I guess i'll find out today.

I am going through the exact same thing with my 1986 C4 Vette.
I have replaced the Throttle Body/IAC/TPS/ECM and GM burnt a new chip and sent it to us. Same thing. Cant get it to idle for shit hardly. Found out it is just staying in closed loop all the time. So it has been at the Chevy Dealership for a month now. They can't figure it out either. GM is working with them on it.

You got the code now you should just replace the IAC.

Let us know if that solves the problem...

Check your O2 sensor. I switched to a 3 wire O2 from an astro van because the "one wire" style can be "baked" easily and prevent your car from entering into open loop.
