my prof is an airhead

so tomorrow in class...thursday 2pm...we have to turn in an annotated bibliography in 2 places. one is on turnitin.com. for those who don't know what that is it's a website which compares your work against sources found in its online database to search for plagiarism.

the 2nd place we have to turn in the paper is on what we call d2l (desire 2 learn...yes a hella gay name but a great tool). basically the teacher creates a "dropbox" for us to upload our papers to. from there the teacher can either read them and leave comments online in the dropbox or they can print them off an do it the old fashioned hard copy way.

anyway. in class yesterday...tuesday...this gal told our prof that the d2l page didn't have a dropbox created for our bibliographies yet. she took out a pen and made herself a note and was all "oh yes i forgot about that i'll do it immediately following class..."

yeah well it's now midnite...wednesday. i e-mailed her at 10:51pm and told her that there was no dropbox. what an airhead.

no she didn't blame anything on us.

update though. here it is about 9am. got an e-mail from her earlier in the morning saying that her office hours were changed. no word on the dropbox though and still no dropbox. she wanted it submitted online. guess she's gettin hard copy.

I had a professor like that last semester. He would tell to us read something that he put on reserve in the library when he had forgotten to put it on reserve or tell us to print out and read something he posted online that he had forgotten to post. The guy did nothing on time. We didnt get our first test back until after we had taken our second test. He was seriously scatter-brained.

well she got the dropbox setup around 10am this morning. turned it in there and then in class today she said she'd extend the deadline to tomorrow..."so long as you get it in by the end of the academic week." and i'm thinking what the fuck...why not just make it next week while yer at it.
