Deffinitly a stupid video. Even if those ugly ass piles got 200mpg I still wouldn't drive one, let alone ride in one.

my mom has one and fucking loves it! but she completely fits the demographic for that car to an absolute T. 56 yrs old, veteran english teacher, democrat, enviromentalist type lady person lol But did grow up in the 60s and had tons of gas guzzling muscle cars, so who knows when the "change" happened lol

I have no problem with the Prius... It has a decent ride and gets from point A to point B reliably and with great efficiency. The only real issue I have is the digital efficiency gauge as it challenges me to achieve better fuel economy.
I would not own one as I don't like the slowness or sluggish handling but it is a fine car for the majority of people who simply need efficient transportation.
What I would actually like to do is stuff the powertrain of a 2010 Camaro into a Prius since it has a very low co-efficient of drag and without all the batteries would be a very lightweight platform.

There was a study done featureing electric cars Vs. their gas counterparts in the subcompact class. The study found it was actually (in some ways) cheaper to own and maintain the gasoline powered subcompact car. Aswell as, there was not much difference in mpg's in real world heavy traffic and highway use. All they are is an electric forklift with an ugly car body. Personally I'd rather have the forklift!!!LOL

Yea I think it was like top gear who did a test on a bmw m3 vs a prius around a track, and the bmw avged like 3mpg MORE then the prius. The prius is a small car and slow which means its good for normal slow driving, but if you have to go someone or try to go fast in it the mpg drop to shit just like any other car.. I'm happy with my 97 nissan 200sx se, its a 4banger and I get a lil over 40mpg on the highway but don't look as gay as the prius..

ehhh my mom averages like 48-50 mpg's WITH a highway commute when she takes it to work, yeah its not the 60 mpg they initially marketed but its pretty good. She doesnt often (or ever) take the prius around a track in the same conditions as Top Gear did, because whats the fuckin point? lol That test was for comedic purposes, a bmw m3 does NOT get better mileage then a prius econobox, thats just silly.

I have personally achieved over 50mpg in both the Prius and the Hinda Civic Hybrid in 35-55 type driving conditions without resorting to driving techniques that are unsafe or piss off other drivers. The Prius is designed to achieve the best mileage in this type of scenario since highway driving uses too much power to effectively utilize the electric engine.
As I said, I don't "like" the current hybrids, and often the drivers of these vehicles piss me off, but if the driver is good and the price is right, they can be good and economical transportation...
