my lucky nite!

i had to leave work to rescue my son(locked his keys in his car...7th time) and was on my way back on a nice piece of road so i decided to make up some time so i opened it up on the strait and hit like 115 then let off for my turn well all of a sudden there is a car hauling ass behind me....yes chp......so i pulled over and he asks if i know how fast i was going....so i said 70? and he says close 67! i bout shit myself!then he tells me how horrible the z28 handles and that i should be real careful...gives me the ticket and gone,all this is at 11:00pm so now back at work i look at the ticket and it says 61mph in a 55 so maybe i'll get off easier

you didnt get lucky at all; i got caught doing 105 in a 70 and the cop was a dick and made me sit in his cop car while he wrote the ticket, but then i was let go, but WTF was he gonna do, arrest me for speeding?

You cant get arrested for speeding.

yes you can be arrested for speeding state of IL. anything 30 and over the speed limit you can be arrested and your car impounded and you have to bond yourself out of jail. Most states have states have a certain speed before they arrest you. But yes you can be arrested for speeding.

in cali anything over 100 is arrest time....he was in a new crown vic ans yes with the lead i had on him on the country road that we eneded up on i could have very easily lost him,but having gone to jail for that before i was like naw just stop.

My friend almost did, going 81 in a 35 in his LT1. 6 month suspension for that one. He was 17 at the time.

That is lucky.
I got off easy once when doing 90 in a 55, Up hile for a couple miles (I-70 East Bound before Eisenhower Tunnel), only because the cop could not catch up to me until I was in the tunnel doing 60.
