They sound good, but dyno a 100 HP less, and run mid to high 14's.

I've seen threads numerous times at the Corral and even some comments on Badassmustangs.com talking about LS1's being fast and good cars. lol...I've also seen a few threads where someone tries to chime in and make stupid remarks about an ls1 and the other mustangers call out the idiot.

Sure, there's harmless revving from BOTH sides but I can't imagine someone actually thinking that an LS1 is slow. I wish I had an LS1 as well as my Cobra...maybe one day. I wish they would bring the camaro back!

LOL last time I was at the track there was a 5.0 that pulled its front tires up off the ground and ran a 12.8... not very impressive at all

us stangers are more then familiar with the incredible ls1 engine. i dont think its a matter of us being afraid of the ls1 so much as them telling the bolt on 5 oh driver he was gonna get waxed by a much faster car. stock 5.0s do not compete with current
ls1 powered cars. now if he had heads, a cam, intake, and supporting parts it would be way more of a race. all i have to say is no matter what you drive theres always someone faster, and they could be driving any brand. its more a matter of who spent more nowadays. jus as soon as youll see a real fast ls1 car, theres a 03/04 cobra walking away from it, and vice versa. and dont underestimate 5.0s. there are some really crazy street 5.0s out there. go for a ride in a built dss 331 stroke with a blower or turbo or even na and believe me youll be quite surprised. not to mention at least in my opinion they sound unreal.
