Motorcycle insurance?
I know a few of you guys on here own bikes and I was wondering how much the insurance costs for them. I'm considering buying one since I might be moving out to San Francisco for college, and I don't want to take my car with me. I'll be 21 and so far I have a perfect 4 year driving record. I also have over a B average in school, so I dunno if that adds on any good student discounts like with driving. Any info would be great.

I pay like 7-800 a year on my bike. 01 HD Springer. I dont know what that amounts to monthly, but it will be going down this coming spring. I'm 24 single male, chalk one up for stereotypical high rates. My entire policy is 1800 a year for the truck car and bike.

I pay like $250/year....my wife pays around $125/month...but I'm 30....she's 24...I guess that's where the difference comes into play.
dale

Psycho Therapist- I take "the" out of
125 a year through gieco. I only pay liability. I am going to switch to full coverage soon. Hope i am not paying an astronomical amount.

Geico quoted me $384 a year for a '06 Triumph Daytona. That's just liability though.

Liability only on a rocket makes sense. If you crash, you gonna die. No need to pay off the bike or the other peoples shit that you hit.

IDK if it's still in effect here. But in the state of FL, you don't need insurance on a bike.
Geico here, is stupid pricey. Now, allstate is better. I am still complimenting on a bike sometime in the next year.

just shop around
some companies insure based on cc not on the type of bike
