Does it ever amaze you guys how some of the biggest rat shit bomb cars seemingly breeze through inspection and have good stickers and like practically new cars fail for some random bullshit "could fix it in a parking lot" reason? Inspection makes me

That thing you do once a year that allows you to renew your vehicle registration. Not required in some areas.

I remember when I had my Beretta with a Dynomax muffler. A Honda with a fart can muffler passed. It was louder than mine. I get to the line and the inspector told me I failed. A few days later I went back with an OEM muffler with chrome tips welded on just to pass. The same inspector told me he could fail me for just the tips on the car.

Jersey is gay. PA doesn't really worry about it exhoust decibels. just that it isn't leaking and you have a muffler. Well some areas require the cat to be verified that its on yet

Tell me bout it. I have met folks who want to keep a decibel meter. Even a decibel meter can't prove a case here.

Gutted or those fake cats would pass visual here, they don't care about headers or cat placement either. Just delete the rear o2's and you'll pass the plug in test.

I believe theres an ase certification for inspection, you take that and pass it and then you can inspect cars. I've never worked at anything other then dealers though so I wouldnt know for sure.

Don't dealers do the new cars? They do in anyother state I know of
