Those are sick. Top Gear had a good episode with the ZR1 recently. They drove a Challenger SRT-8, a new Cadillac CTS-V, and the ZR1 from (I think) Las Vegas to the salt flats. Compared to other super cars, the ZR1 is far superior, mostly just because of how cheap it is.

He hated it until he took it into the mountain roads. It's suspension was made and tuned from track testing on the Nuerburgring, which showed.

Would like to see it on the strip first. To me it's not that impressive. Should easily be a 10.7-10.9 car if they could drive. Compared to this. http://forums.viperclub.org/srt10-sr...k-srt-10s.html. Maybe I am just picky, but untill I see it on the track, not impressed so far for a 100k plus.

lets get a real driver in the zr1. i'm impressed with the viper in the 10's but it irritates me they think the viper is supperior to the ls9. no way in fawkin hail! i just posted it cuz its fast and on the regular blacktop and its motortrend. the zr1 is far more capable than a viper. shit a viper cant even get heated seats and nav

You want heated seats and navi? Good lord go buy a mercedes then. I hate having all that crap in a SPORTS car. Shouldn't even need a radio if your a true car guy. I vary rarely have it on. Is the ls9 a good motor? Well time will tell. Which is better motor? I would have to go with the viper on this one ohnestly. Throw a pair of twins on it and your around 800-1000 easily. The Zr1 hasn't been tested to it's max. My only complaint with it is looks most like a stock C6. Yes there are differences but for 100k and looking like what I have and paid nearly half, no thanks. Viper>ZR1. Agreed though on the driver.

ZR1 here. It's lighter, more horsepower than the ACR, perfectly balanced, and they're generally around the same price.

The clincher is that it is one of the fastest production cars ever built. I see it as a car that you would do nothing to, as opposed to throwing a twin turbo on a Viper. Also I think that it's subtle styling differences are amazing, and just similar enough to still call it a Corvette. And you can't say that you "[don't] even need a radio if your a true car guy." If I'm spending more than $100k on a car I expect a top of the line audio system and I personally love listening to music while driving fast.
