Modern headlights are bad. And vs Firebirds and Trans Ams?

New Report Raises Concerns About Effectiveness of Car Headlights - ABC News

I haven't driven anything other than an F-body in many years. I know the birds have a reputation for lousy visibility, but that don't seem to worsen over the years. The lights on new vehicles are fine at first but later it feels like driving half-blind?

I have never complained about the head lights in any of our DD's. The Trans Am headlights are certainly not great, but we rarely drive our car after dark. Too many big brown furry creatures that like to commit suicide by impact in our area.

You kids worry way too much. Back in the day our cars had a lit candle in front of a polished mirror for headlights. Worked just fine...

The lights on my Trans Am are pretty terrible...my camaro's were the same way but I dont drive them at night very often but every once in a while I'll have my TA out after dark and I use the high beams as much as possible.

Projectors on my truck are pretty nice tho...they do a really good job of lighting up the road.

So many newer vehicles these days have such powerful headlights it's like looking at the sun...

I,ve never had any problems with lamps. I can see a problem when they get oxidized over but what qualifies as "bad" on a new car?

I never really had an issue with my formula or T/As lights at night.
