Michael Vick......just wow.
The embattled Atlanta Falcons quarterback is hoping to earn as much as $10 million a year or more, according to court filings in his bankruptcy case. Under the plan he submitted to the court, Vick would keep the first $750,000 of his annual income over the next five years. After that, a percentage would go to his creditors based on a sliding scale. [...]
In a March 4 court filing, Vick’s attorneys say he “has every reason to believe upon his release, he will be reinstated into the NFL, resume his career and be able to earn a substantial living.”
“He is hopeful to play quarterback,” Daniel Meachum, an attorney and business manager for Vick, said in an interview. “There is no person with his talent in that position in all the league.”
Is this guy serious!? Someone put a bullet in his head puhleaze!

I have said from the start that he’d be back in the NFL.
With what team remains to be answered, but I am sure that it will happen.

Sure he can. That piece of trash can wax my car and shine my shoes. Its all the work he deserves.
He's shown he completely and utterly does not have the responsibility to be a professional athlete and earn the big $$.
If any NFL did pick him up--which I seriously doubt they would--the ramifications would be very negative for that franchise.
He isn't worth it.

maybe the broncos will go after him now that they're officially trading jay cutler. they don't seem to mind media attention now and like controversy.

He still has to be reinstated by the NFL commissioner, which is not a given. This story has been on ESPN.com for several weeks now. His bankruptcy judge insisted he be there in person, not just represented by an attorney, which is the way it should be. Several teams have already stated they won't want him, because of all the negative press and the heat they will get from PETA(I think thats the correct one). I think his anticipation of $10M annually probably won't happen if he does get reinstated either.

Not the same thing. The problem with Vick's crime is that he now has an entire section of America (animal lovers/pet owners/ASPCA) that are going to incite huge protests if he ever takes another snap for a professional team.
I'm telling you, its going to be a marketing nightmare for any franchise that picks him up.
Vick used his wealth and power to inflict cruelty on animals, and that makes him a very unpopular person in American culture.

Sure he can, just not in the NFL. The NFL is a privelage, not a right. He can wash cars, flip burgers, sell vaccuum's, I don't care, but to be in the NFL again? No frickin way.
And if by the small miracle that Goodell reinstates him after the shame he put on everyone, there is no way in hell any team (even the Raiders) would shell out $10 mil a year for him.

I think he will be back, but there is no team that will pay even close to 10mil a year for him. More likely league minimum. I also wouldn't be surprised to see him come back to the game as a slot reciever and not a QB.

He is a suckass quarterback anyway. I prefer QB's that can throw the ball. He would have made a fine running back or kick returner, but no team will EVER win a Superbowl with M. Vick at QB. Never.
If you won't win, what reason do you have to sign him? Publicity, the kind you get by having Peta protest every game?
