In Memorial- Officer Jose Rivera
Officer Jose Rivera was employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons at United States Penitentiary Atwater in California. He previously served in the US Navy and did 2 tours in Iraq. He served at USP Atwater for approx. 10 months and was 22 years old.
On June 20, 2008 at approx. 3:30p.m. he was viciously attacked by 2 of the scum of this earth in the inmate housing unit which he was assigned to. These 2 inmates stabbed him multiple times, one of which punctured his heart leading to his death. His shift was due to end at 4:00p.m.
To everyone here, especially the law enforcement officers on this site remember him and his family, and remember at election time to vote for candidates who will support law enforcement.
Officer Jose Rivera July 20, 1985- June 20, 2008- Never To Be Forgotten

I'd be in favor of "purging" the prison system. Erradicate violent offenders who are in on the 3 strikes rule, etc. Dig a big pit in Montana or similar, start the processing, distribute the .308 rounds- and go to work.

This is what happens when we live in a country who worries more about the rights of criminals and illegals. If you kill someone then you should be put to death yourself, IMMEDIATELY!! You dont need to spend 25 fucking years on death row eating and shitting on someone elses fucking dime. Those guys get on TV and brag about "being in this jail 23 times". Its fucking obvious the lowlife pieces of shit will NOT learn their lesson. People say "oh those over in the middle east are heartless blah blah fucking blah". But look at their crime rate compared to this shithole we live in.

If you search Jose Rivera on YouTube, you will find a memorial video his brother dedicated to his memory. Very sad though.

Here's an idea to deal with violent offenders. Drop all of them on an island in the middle of the Pacific, about 2,000 miles from any other humans. Give them nothing, no water, food, clothes and let them fend for themselves. Forget 23 hour lockdown. Give them 24 hours of permanent hell. No chance to get off, little chance to survive and you sleep with one eye open for the rest of your life. That's how people's lives like Officer Rivero aren't lost in vain. You want to be a scumbag? No problem. We've got a sunny little spot for you and 10,000 of your closest friends.

I'd be out of a job, but it may be worth it!
By the way, this country has way more than 10,000 inmates incarcerated. In the Federal Bureau of Prisons we currently have over 200,000 inmates. Add to that every state, county, local jail/prison, and America probably has over 3 million people locked up!
What's wrong with our society today???
