Mechanic is pissing me off!!!

My car has been at the mechanics for three and half weeks, all that is wrong is a broke transmission mount and a shot extension housing. Seriously. This was like a four day wait on parts and I could have done it myself in one day. But I have been way to busy as of late. Anyone think this is to long of a wait? I've never been to a mechanic before...

p.s. anyone know how to get bad grease stains out of shirts? I got grease on my shirt from work that is like asphalt in a can essentially, I've tried goop, resolve stain remover, clorox 2(it's a light blue shirt). It was a 34 dollar A&F t-shirt so I hate to condemn it to the rag box...

That's deffinately too long. After we got the parts, we never had a car for more than a week at any shops I worked at no matter what we were doing to it.

Yeah I wrote down the milage and left only quarter tank o'gasoline. I had a feeling as soon as I got out of site he was going to do a burn out and then tear around.

that is too long. my mechanic will do anything in 3 days or less. he redid my rear differential, motor mounts, and rear suspension in 2 days.

I've learned my lesson, next time I send it to sarge. Just hope I can get the smell of depends and old spice out of it when he is done.

Did he give you a date promised? Did you specify when you needed the car by? 3 and a half weeks is ridiculous for just a tranny mount, i dont know what an extension housing is, must be a fbody term. But nonetheless, I'd be concerned what the hell is going on with your car. You are a young guy and they might jus be not taking you serious. Is this like a local gas station garage, or a nice reputable shop? Gas station garages are for the most part, worthless. They normally have a mechanic that has been ripping people off for about 20 some odd years and works on your car drunk. At least thats what its like at my local gas station lol

But yeah, call them up and ask them what the fuck is taking so long. Sometimes you gotta get pissed and start yellin man.

Maybe they fucked the car up and are stalling to get it fixed. Dents, fire, flood, hole thru the block. Maybe they ran the crank over on a road test and their waiting for a junkyard motor to arrive. But I'm sure it's nothing.

First. Call him tomorrow and say you're picking it up at 5pm the next day, and if everything isn't finished you're not paying, because three weeks is bullshit.

Second, you're 20 years old. You've been out of high school what, 2 years now? Unless you're a homo, stop shopping at A&F and buy some real clothes.
