    I think that you're not likely to get much response based on the MMA events that have pretty much eclipsed all other types of unarmed combat.

    While the UFC has been around for 20 years or so the recent commercialization of the sport and codifying of rules which has allowed it to be presented on commercial TV (Spike for UFC and others for WEC) has put the science of boxing in the shadows.

    Flat out: It's just not as fun to watch nor is it as entertaining.

    Don't get me wrong as I was (and still am to some degree) a boxing fan. It's just that MMA has more to offer.

    And if forced to pick I'd take Mayweather...

    though it has eclipsed boxings minor programs, boxing still pulls in the real money on the major programs surpisingly. and the fighters actually get the money.
