ok, tell me how you came to that conclusion cause it dont make sense..the pattern goes 3 then 6 then 3 then 6 ect...so if the pattern is 19, 22, 28, 31, 37, 40, then the next number should be 46
ninja edit: you see what im sayin now ....

At the ninja edit, and I jumped the gun on the answer cause I only went to 31 and stopped to verify the sequence lol. But I would def write a note to the teacher telling them they are an idiot lol, it's most likely a typo so she/he will find it when going over the math question tomorrow.

c. 64
The sums of the numbers are 10...4...10...4....etc.
Its probably an error but 64 can be correct.Last edited by BadBlueBird*; 03-03-2011 at 05:48 PM.

64 is the right answer b/c the question doesn't say what's the next number is. it asks "if he extends the pattern, which of the following numbers will he write?"
the pattern is, like bluehawk said, 3,6,3,6,3,6,etc. so the continuation will be
19, 22, 28, 31, 37, 40, 46, 49, 55, 58, 64

The answer is c.64.
The question asks if you extend the pattern which number WILL you write. 19,22,28,31,37,40,46,49,55,58,64
