I stand before you not as a religious man, but as a man who loves everything that LSX is. Please step forward and receive a purifying flick of 10 weight upon the forehead and bow your humble heads...

Let us pray:

The LSX is my shepherd;
I shall always want.
It maketh me burnout on black asphalt;
It leadeth me beside tall wings and decals.
It's displacement restoreth my soul;
It leads me in the path of quickness
For its name's sake.

Ye, though I walk through the valley of rice,
I shall fear no fart-can; for torque art with me;
Thy pushrod and thy piston, they comfort me.

Thou preparest a staging lane before me
in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou hast anointed my pistons with oil;
My powerband runneth over.
Surely hard launches and throaty exhaust notes shall follow me
All the days of my life;

That in its original form was made by SoCal F-body member Cullan Hooley 7 or 8 years ago and posted on our email list. I'm surprised by how long its survived. I'm also surprised that the poem never gives him credit, even though it did when he posted it.

Last I heard from him he joined the Air Force Reserves in 2002 and sold his '87 IROC.
