This guy gets paid to drift... He is actually one of my buddies. I just sold this car, and he is working on a FC with a Turbo LS1 swap right now.
He use to complain that the FD (in the video) wouldnt want to stay sideways... that it would always want to hook up and go straight.
His name is Luke Lonberger. Below is one of his websites, and I dont think that it has been updated in quite some time, but you can see the build up on that car...

and
www.lukelonberger.com
This car was fast as hell... i think that it was one of the fastest cars that I have ever been in. I seriously believe that if he had slicks on it, it would easliy be in the 10's

He might want to fix his website FD designation. The chassis is an FD3S, not an FD33 (no such thing).
I'm always a little puzzled why people put so much effort in putting an LS1 into an FD when an FD can make just as much, if not more, power on the stock twins. If I were to do a V8 swap, I'd drop an LS7 427 C6 ZO6 motor with H/C - at least you get some more power (then again, a 13B with a bigger turbo will also give you ~ 550 rwhp - it's just not smog legal here in Cali).
Each to his/her own I suppose.

05-01-2008, 04:22 AM #17Way to ruin one of the sickest sports cars ever made. Too bad the original 1.3 liter rotary would spank the LS1 up and down that track

The FD RX-7 motor is a big fail. The LS1 swap is a reliability mod as well as badass performance.
