LS1 Powered Airplane
If my stepdad does not build up the Corvette, or his 2nd gen Camaro, or what ever he has up in his mind. He will do this with my LS1...

It's not the worse thing I have seen done to a LS1 or an airplane..
I'm interested in how it would effect performance of the of the airplane.

My guess...
LS1 is light, I forget what an aircraft engine weighs, Google I guess.
Most light aircraft are 4-6 Cyld and don't have as much power as an LS1... I think it would be an improvement.
Here's some info on his current airplane, I think this is the exact model. I know it's a Warrior.

soooo, you could run cheaper ground fuel no? Is there such thing as NO lead aviation fuel, not just low lead? Wonder if you can hear the rasp in plane

I have seen them put an ls-7 in a little sea plane. Saw it over at Oshkosh.

Todays word is "Anticlimactic".
On a side note: What would the increased performance REALLY do in this? The speed of the plane is more dependent on the speed of propeller. I can't imagine that extra power would really matter much in this case as you would have to spin faster but there's a threshold where the propeller would just disengrate from the speed. They don't have transmissions do which would allow for higher RPM at lower engine RPM is there?
The only place I could see an advantage to this is if there were multiple props that were gear driven and I don't think that's really something that is out there either, is it?
Over all impression of video: fail!

You would have to figure how to put second spark plug in every cyllinder...either that or I aint getting in the damn thing. Airplane engines are redundant as a mother fucker.
