"The SUPERCHARGED Z06 engine seems to fit beautifully in the back of this 911, and apparently weighs less than the original Porsche engine. "

There's a local guy around here with an LS1 powered porsche. I think he took the conversion instructions from that toy-jet site.

Right engine - wrong Porsche.
The right one would be a 928S4 (or 928GT) as it is already a front motored car and it would be one hell of a power upgrade. Those old 911's have very twitchy handling and can kill you if you don't pay attention.

My favorite conversion by far is the twin turbo LS1 Volvo wagon.

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
The writeup is AWESOME. An S/C'ed ZO6 motor. I can only imagine the power-to-ratio of that car. CRAZY!!!!
extreme dimensions, driveshaft shop, harrop, hid(35watt/6k) lows, hurst, k&n, led fogs, maverick man, mishimoto, nitto, revshift, slp, stern st-1, smoked sidemarkers, whiteline poly radius rod bushings
