LS1 Oil Shootout Update

OK...NAPA is sponsoring and will donate all the filters and Pennzoil Platinum
RedLine is chomping at the bit to go head to head and I'm working with Jegs (at RedLines request) for them to donate the RedLine.
Tractor Supply has already donated 300 quarts of Chevron Supreme 10-30. Yes it is in my garage. 60 5 quart jugs.
Royal Purple declined.
Amsoil corporate racing is almost there and thanks to our sponsor CompSyn for all his hard work.
Mobil1 is struggling with supply right now and we are working with one of their major distributors right now...so we'll see....
Last but nor least BlackStone Labs has donated the lab test.
So it is coming together. We worked out the testing procedures etc. And I have a pretty good idea of the three ls1.com members.......so just an update....lot of hard work/phone time/politicking
But we are almost there...bear with us...this will be worth it.

<----get me the lab tests kits and filters(for authenticity in results) and I will do the royal purple, like I say, I'v done several oil changes and continue to run it, as long as I am running it, I might as well put some in their test cup while I am dumping it into the pan. Plus I am doing 100 miles a week on my car now.

I think you would have to run all the oils, not at the same time but yea u get the picture.
Hmm I can get Royal Purple at wholesale prices so does anyone want to pay for it for the test?

When do we find out who's doing it?

Well....I had to really focus on the testing criteria/process to insure fairness and level playing field for all the sponsors......a big part of this was the testers.....soon man....very soon.

I'd run some water through it first, start it up for a bit, let it flush it out good......

i agree. and dont forget to keep the oil filter off, as you wanna check for adequate flushing.
