I used to spend quite a bit, but seeing I just bought a 9" I won't be this year again.

not sure... i'll try to get some 1/2 sticks, 1/4 stick, a few morters... (we have noise wars with distant neighbors.)... then we do the funny cheap ones you get at like wal mart and them little tents on the side of the road... i was going to get some that they use for fairs and events like taht but they are really expensive ($180.00 for 5 star bursts)...

This is roughly what we used for New Years, almost same amount is used for the 4th.

I think by the time it is all said and done it comes out to almost 1/4 ton of fireworks

It is basically a simple wiring system using light switches that is hooked up to a car battery. On each fuse we have a thin coil of wire like a toaster's heating element along with a small dash of black powder.

hell no... we shot them one at a time... an electrician buddy made the wireing crap for it with toggle switches... it was to much work to set them up and to expensive for me to do it again... plus with fire works like them it's just waiting for the woods to burn down or something... cinders were bouncing around off of leaves as they came down...

theyweren't really big maybe 10-12" but they were about 6" accross...

I want to start making my own shells this year. I bought a movie on 6" ball construction from skylighter. What are the biggest shells you shoot off Mark?
